Johnny Kelly directed the brand-new short, but super cute stop motion animated title sequence for one of Holland's longest running youth TV shows "Het Klokhuis" (The Apple Core). The models used for the animation were built using the latest 3D printing technology. Check out the amazing production stills.

A rebrand of the show was arguably long overdue, as the previous animated ident had lasted for over a decade.

From the press release:
“The apple shells were created using 3D rapid prototyping technology (to maintain the logo shape) and this was the framework used to build up each apple. A variety of different materials were then used to portray each apple experiment, including stone, clay, rubber, clockwork machinery and many more.

The title sequence was commissioned by advertising agency KesselsKramer, produced by Nexus Productions, and was made in collaboration with model maker / sculptor Jethro Haynes.

Art of the Title has an interview with director Johnny Kelly, who sheds more light on the production process of the title sequence.
